Non-commercial organization "Association of coastal fishery industrialists and farms of Murman" was established on the territory of Murmansk region in November 2008 for defense of rights and representation of members of the Association in governmental and other bodies as well as in international organizations. Today it counts 32 enterprises. Over 4 thousand people are engaged in coastal fishery. The members of the Association think their main target development of coastal fishery, improvement of the efficiency of extracting, processing and aquacultural enterprises in the in-shore zone of Murmansk region.
